I recently presented the cheque to Dame Ellen MacArthur on behalf of all of you who sponsored myself and Antoine to cross the English Channel. Between us all we raised nearly £11,000!!!!! The largest single donation to the Ellen MacArthur Trust in 2008 that supports children recovering from cancer and other serious illnesses. This was a great honour for me to be able to represent windsurfing and windsurfers generosity in such a way, so a massive thanks to you all.
 
Ellen was extremely grateful and genuine, and get this, she’s tried windsurfing a few times and could get into it!
 
I also had the opportunity to hang out with some of the children that the trust supports, just before they left to sail around the UK visiting children’s cancer wards to offer encouragement, hope and confidence to other kids in their position. See more about them here- www.roundbritain.org
