Ras Sudr Kids Camp/ Freeride Clinic May 24-31 Posted On: 05/06/2009 10:57:02 AM This was INtuition's first trip to Ras Sudr and it is such a great venue for developing skills- with virtually no other windsurfers around, we basically had the shallow water hot spot to ourselves. With standing depth water for some 100 metres, meant guests could learn how to use footstraps or carve gybe and never actually need to go out of their depth! However, with 6/7 days of wind we were going full speed to the horizon many a time with guests really making some massive improvements, learning waterstarts, footstraps, carve gybes, planning exits, speed and control- here's what Jeremy 'aka Rodney' had to say- "Many thanks for an awesome week of windsurfing - I have been waiting 20 years (no exaggeration) to windsurf like that which would not have been possible without your instruction." Posted On: 05/06/2009 10:53:00 AM So far so good in Dahab - what did you expect? Everyday with wind so far and plenty more forecast for another 100% wind record. On day one everyone learning footstraps were fully planning in them comfortably, by day three they're all waterstarting and using smaller boards, and already we're seeing huge gibing improvement, with more days to go, the guests will all be on fire! ......( more ) |  |

Between us all we raised nearly £11,000!!!!! The largest single donation to the Ellen MacArthur Trust in 2008 that supports children recovering from cancer and other serious illnesses. Dahab Speed Record Posted On: 03/06/2009 9:17:06 AM Guy Cribb sets new speed record in Dahab of 40.4 knots/ 75 kmphs. His previous record had stood for two years but within an hour of arriving to Dahab on Sunday May 31 Cribby rigged a 5.8m North Ram, that he'd only used once before crossing the English Channel, and in around 30 knots of wind became the first sailor to ever break 40 knots in the Red Sea / Gulf of Aquba. The vast majority of the 300+ windsurfers in Dahab stayed ashore in these winds but local photographer Hatem Walid got some great shots! |  |
